Enable sending to OpenAlias addresses on the NavPI

Version 4.3.0 of NavCoin introduced OpenAlias support. The previous versions of the PI Image – 1.0.9 and below, are able to resolve the OpenAlias address but are unable to perform the final step of sending coins to the NavName address.

If your PI image version is greater than 1.0.9 you do not need to perform the following as it is already installed and enabled on your device.

To enable the PI to send coins to an OpenAlias address we will install DNSCrypt.

DNSCrypt is a protocol that authenticates communications between a DNS client and a DNS resolver. It prevents DNS spoofing. It uses cryptographic signatures to verify that responses originate from the chosen DNS resolver and haven’t been tampered with.

To install the DNSCrypt you will need open terminal and run the following commands. Then restart the PI

wget http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/libt/libtool/libltdl7_2.4.6-2_armhf.deb
wget http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/libs/libsodium/libsodium18_1.0.11-2_armhf.deb
wget http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/pool/main/d/dnscrypt-proxy/dnscrypt-proxy_2.0.16-2_armhf.deb

sudo dpkg -i libltdl7_2.4.6-2_armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i libsodium18_1.0.11-2_armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i dnscrypt-proxy_2.0.16-2_armhf.deb
sudo apt-get -f install
